Last night in Las
Vegas, Nevada, Layla McCarter, 139.5, won a six-round unanimous decision
over Claudia Valenciana, 143.5.
Final scores 59-53, 60-52, 60-52.
McCarter gave away some weight in this matchup, but fought a perfect
fight, picking and choosing her shots. McCarter knocked Valenciana
to the canvas twice during the fight, and there was no doubt at the end of
the six round as to who would walk away a winner.
